🛒 Ingredients (Serves 4–5)
• 1 lb smoked turkey sausage, sliced into rounds
• 1½ lbs baby potatoes, halved (or Yukon gold, diced)
• ½ large green cabbage, chopped
• 1 small yellow onion, sliced
• 3 cloves garlic, minced
• 2 tbsp olive oil
• ½ tsp smoked paprika
• ½ tsp Italian seasoning
• ½ tsp salt (or to taste)
• ½ tsp black pepper
• ¼ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
• ¼ cup chicken broth
• Fresh parsley for garnish
⸻
👩🍳 Instructions
1. Brown the sausage
Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced turkey sausage and cook 4–5 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
2. Cook the potatoes
In the same skillet, add remaining olive oil and potatoes. Season with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. Cook 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden and fork-tender. (Cover with a lid for faster cooking.)
3. Add onion & cabbage
Stir in onion, cabbage, garlic, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Cook 6–8 minutes until cabbage softens and begins to caramelize.
4. Combine & steam
Return sausage to the skillet. Pour in chicken broth and cover. Let simmer 5 minutes so flavors blend.
5. Finish & serve
Taste and adjust seasoning. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
