For me, this looks like dedicating time each morning to prayer and scripture, actively seeking situations where I can serve others, and consciously practicing gratitude. Just as we are reminded to 'Honor God' in Exodus 3:5, this verse from Matthew also prompts us to give God His rightful place in our lives – not just a part of it, but the very center. It’s about more than just acknowledging Him; it’s about making Him paramount. One of the most beautiful outcomes of truly embracing Matthew 6:21 is the sense of peace and right direction it brings. When my heart is aligned with God and my treasure is Him, the anxieties of worldly pursuits begin to fade. Decisions become clearer, and I feel a profound sense of purpose. It’s like the devotional message about Jesus’s love guiding and comforting you. Even when I feel vulnerable or in need, much like the sentiment in Psalms 40:17, I know where my ultimate trust lies, and that brings an incredible sense of security. What do you spend your time and resources on? These are clues to where your treasure truly lies. If you find your heart isn't where you want it to be, don't be discouraged.
