-1 cup unsalted butter softened

-1¾ cups brown sugar

-2 eggs

-2 tsp vanilla

apple pie filling

-3 apples

-1 1/2 tbsp brown sugar

-1/3 cup granulated sugar

-1 tbsp cornstarch

-1 tsp cinnamon

-1/4 tsp nutmeg

-1/4 tsp cloves

-1/4 tsp salt

-1 1/4 cups water

cream cheese frosting

-5oz cream cheese softened

-4 tbsp butter softened

-3 tbsp caramel sauce

-1 tsp vanilla

-1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

*I used store bought caramel sauce

Instructions 📝

cookies

1. Beat butter & brown sugar until light & fluffy.

2. Add egg & vanilla; mix until smooth.

3. Whisk flour, baking soda, baking powder & salt; add to wet mix.

4. Mix until just combined.

5. Scoop dough into balls & roll in extra brown sugar.

6. Chill dough balls in freezer for 2 hours.

7. Preheat oven to 350°F.

8. Place balls 2 inches apart on lined sheets.

9. Bake 12 min until edges brown & centers aren’t pale.

10. Cool on pan a few minutes, then move to a rack.

1. Heat saucepan on med/high.

2. Add sugars, cornstarch, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, salt & water. Stir until dissolved.

3. Bring to boil, stirring often.

4. Add chopped apples & stir to coat.

5. Lower heat to med/low & simmer until thick & apples are soft.

6. Remove from heat & set aside.

cream cheese frosting

1. Beat cream cheese & butter until smooth and creamy.

2. Add powdered sugar & caramel; whip until light & fluffy.
