Pictures I saved but never deleted-WALMART EDITION

For almost 10 years (8) I worked for Walmart.

From 2015- 2023

Through the early times, to the Covid times, Black Friday and everything you can think of that comes with RETAIL.

I miss the people, not so much the stress.

From the craziness of Black Friday to the stress-filled days during COVID-19, my time there was far from boring. I encountered quirky customers, faced bizarre workplace scenarios, and found humor in the tough moments. One standout memory was hiding in the online grocery room to take a breather, a crucial escape during hectic shifts. Another unforgettable moment was when a customer brought in an adorable monkey, brightening the day for all employees. The images I've saved vividly document these unique experiences, showcasing the lighter side of retail life. It's important to acknowledge the mental health challenges faced by retail workers. Whether coping with customer complaints or overwhelming workloads, we often found solace in camaraderie with colleagues. From making jokes about inventory days to sharing snacks in the break room, these moments fostered a supportive atmosphere. Working at Walmart taught me resilience and provided numerous life lessons, all while giving me stories to share and cherish long after moving on to new adventures. Though the stress could be overwhelming, the friendships and unforgettable experiences I gathered are treasures I'll carry with me. My journey serves as a reminder of the commitment and strength required in the retail industry.
