3 month milestones ✨

2025/1/13 Edited to

... Read moreWow, it feels like just yesterday my little one was a tiny newborn, and now we're already celebrating three months! It's such an amazing phase, full of new discoveries every day. I remember eagerly looking up '3 month baby milestones' to see what to expect, and honestly, every little development feels like a huge win! One of the most delightful things at this age is the start of real communication. My baby's cooing has become so much more intentional. It's not just random sounds anymore; sometimes it feels like they're trying to have a little chat with me! I absolutely love responding with soft, happy tones, asking questions, and even reading simple board books aloud. This back-and-forth interaction really encourages more of those sweet 'oooohs' and 'aaaahs,' which are huge steps in their language development. It shows they're starting to connect sounds with interaction and are trying to mimic. Beyond the adorable sounds, I've noticed so many physical changes too. My little one is constantly bringing hands to middle now, exploring them as if they're the most fascinating toys. This hand-to-hand play is a crucial step towards developing fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination, preparing them for reaching and grasping objects soon. I find myself just watching in awe as they discover their own body and its capabilities. Head control has also improved dramatically. They're much steadier, confidently turning their head left and right to follow sounds or sights. This makes tummy time so much more engaging! We make it a fun part of our day, laying them on a mat with colorful toys just out of reach to encourage them to lift their head and look around. Speaking of tummy time, it's become a daily routine for us. We aim for around 45 minutes to an hour total throughout the day, broken into shorter sessions. At first, it was tough, but now my baby can hold their head up really well and is even attempting to roll over! It's always a surprise when I see a little wiggle that almost gets them there. This strength building is so important, and I make sure to always supervise closely to celebrate those tiny victories and ensure safety. And the smiles! Oh, the genuine, heartwarming smiles are just everything. It’s not just a reflex anymore; my baby now smiles at Mom and Dad (and anyone else who makes a funny face or sings a silly song!). Those joyful interactions make my day and really strengthen our bond, making me feel like all the sleepless nights are totally worth it. It's so easy to compare our babies to others, especially when we see friends' posts or read articles online about 'three month milestones baby.' But I always remind myself that every baby is on their own unique timeline. What one baby achieves at 3 months, another might do at 4 or even 5, and that's perfectly normal. I try to celebrate every little step my baby takes, big or small. If you ever have concerns about your baby's development, it's always best to chat with your pediatrician, as they can offer the best personalized advice and reassurance. Watching them grow and hit these stages, from those first intentional cooing sounds to the determined attempts at rolling, truly fills my heart. These moments are precious and fleeting, and I'm just trying to soak it all in!
