Cherry Berry Matcha Scones are a delightful twist on classic scones, bringing together vibrant flavors of cherries, berries, and the unique taste of matcha green tea. Whether you're hosting a tea party or simply want a special snack, these scones are an excellent choice. **Making the Scones:** Start by preparing the cream cheese filling. Mix 8oz of cream cheese with 50g of jam (homemade cherry jam works wonderfully) and 10g of freeze-dried raspberries or strawberries. Once combined, pipe this mixture into dollops and freeze until you're ready to bake. **Preparing the Dough:** Preheat your oven to 335°F (170°C). For the dough, whisk together the dry ingredients: 200g of flour, 15g of granulated sugar, 5g of baking powder, and 5g of matcha powder. Incorporate 50g of room temperature butter until the mixture resembles a sandy texture. Then, combine 100g of half & half with one egg and mix into the flour mixture. Knead until a dough forms, then divide it into smaller balls. **Baking Time:** Take your frozen cream cheese dollops and envelop them in the dough balls. Place them on a baking sheet and bake for about 15 to 18 minutes. These scones are best enjoyed fresh from the oven. You can serve them with a cup of tea or coffee, making them perfect for breakfast or an afternoon treat. Experiment with different jams and fillings to customize this recipe to your taste. Happy baking!
