girl i KNOW you've accepted it. you've convinced yourself you just have a "moon face." that's what you call it when people ask. or when you're looking in the mirror trying to make sense of why your face is so round and puffy. you've decided it's just your face shape. that some people have defined faces and you have a moon face and that's permanent. maybe you've even looked up if moon face is genetic. if it's something you're stuck with forever. and everything you read says it's from medication or health conditions. but you're not on prednisone. you don't have cushing's. so you're left with no answers. just a puffy round face you've labeled "moon face" and accepted as your reality. but here's what i figured out - "moon face" isn't a face shape. it's not genetic. it's not permanent. your face is holding fluid and fat in a specific pattern that makes it look like that. and when i figured out WHY my face was holding that fluid and fat and stopped it, my moon face went away in 8 weeks. my face got defined. the roundness disappeared. the puffiness went down. because it was never permanent. it was just my face holding onto something it didn't need to hold onto. i wrote down exactly what i discovered because calling it "moon face" and accepting it as permanent shouldn't be your only option. if you've convinced yourself your moon face is just how your face is built, read what i figured out. it's not your face shape. it's not permanent. your face is just holding something it can let go of.

... Read moreMany people mistakenly believe that a rounded, puffy face—often referred to as "moon face"—is due to genetics or a permanent facial structure. However, as Maya’s experience highlights, this facial appearance is often the result of the body holding onto excess fluid and fat in specific areas, which can be addressed and reversed. Fluid retention in the face can be due to several factors including diet, hormone imbalances, lack of sleep, stress, or inflammation. Excess salt intake and dehydration commonly cause water retention, making the face appear fuller or puffier. Reducing sodium consumption and increasing water intake can help the body release this trapped fluid efficiently. In addition to hydration and diet changes, gentle facial exercises can promote lymphatic drainage, which helps reduce swelling and toxin build-up in facial tissues. Regular massages or using tools like jade rollers can stimulate circulation and improve skin tone. Weight loss, as evidenced by the image content about losing 15 kg (30 lbs), can also significantly impact facial fullness. When you lose weight overall, facial fat can reduce, leading to more defined facial contours and reduced puffiness. Hormonal fluctuations and certain medications might cause moon face symptoms as well, but if these are ruled out, the focus should be on lifestyle adjustments. Getting adequate sleep, managing stress, and eating anti-inflammatory foods such as leafy greens and omega-3 rich items like fish can improve overall facial appearance. Ultimately, understanding that moon face is not a fixed genetic trait but a reversible condition empowers individuals to take actionable steps. By addressing underlying causes and adopting healthy routines, it’s possible to diminish facial puffiness and enhance definition within weeks, as shown by personal stories and practical methods like those shared by Maya.
