the VIP of shower cleaners 🙌🏻
Trying to get this shower nice and white has been a nightmare 😩 We moved in here in April and since then I've been trying different products but none of them compare to Zep.
It has cleaned the shower the quickest and with the least amount of scrubbing. This shower was rough so it did still need scrubbing but this definitely is the best choice.
Also if your tub is textured on the bottom like mine then the best recommendation I have is a magic eraser or melamine sponge for those tough to get to spots. I literally have had to pull out a razor blade to get down in those little spots and get the stuck on grime out. I literally hate this textured stuff soooooo much 😣
Oh and it's at dollar tree for $3 bucks 🙌🏻 and that last picture was not the finished product 😅 that's the textured bottom 😡

Hey everyone! So, you've heard me rave about Zep Foaming Shower, Tub & Tile Cleaner, right? But I wanted to dive a little deeper into why this product became my absolute go-to, especially if you're like me and have been battling a stubborn shower that just won't come clean. What makes Zep so different? For starters, its label proudly boasts an acidic no-scrub formula. This isn't just marketing fluff; it's what truly sets it apart. While I still had to do a bit of scrubbing on my truly neglected shower (we're talking years of buildup!), for most regular grime, this formula does the heavy lifting. It specifically targets and dissolves common bathroom woes like stubborn soap scum, pesky calcium, general dirt, ingrained grime, and those unsightly hard water stains that seem to cling to everything. I've tried so many products that claimed to be powerful, but Zep actually delivers, leaving behind that clean, white, smooth shower wall or tub surface we all dream of. Now, for those of you with a textured shower or tub bottom – you know the struggle is real! The original post mentioned how challenging these areas can be. Beyond the magic eraser or melamine sponge, which are fantastic for getting into those tiny crevices, here are a few extra tips I've picked up. When using Zep on textured surfaces, make sure to let it sit for the recommended time, allowing the acidic formula to really penetrate the microscopic nooks and crannies where grime, residue, and even hair (yes, I've seen it all!) love to hide. After letting it dwell, a stiff-bristled brush (not metal, to avoid scratching!) can be incredibly effective before rinsing. For those really tough, dark spots, a small detail brush or even an old toothbrush can work wonders, getting right into the grooves. Just remember to always test in an inconspicuous area first! Using Zep effectively is key. Always ensure good ventilation in your bathroom – open a window or turn on the fan. Spray the entire surface you want to clean, making sure to coat it thoroughly. Then, walk away! Seriously, let the product do its job. The typical dwell time is usually a few minutes, but for extra tough stains, you might extend it slightly, always checking the product instructions. When you come back, you'll often find that much of the gunk can simply be wiped or rinsed away with minimal effort. For me, seeing the transformation from a grimy, off-white surface to a sparkling clean one is incredibly satisfying. Beyond just cleaning, maintaining that sparkle is crucial. After a deep clean with Zep, try to wipe down your shower walls and tub after each use with a squeegee or a microfiber cloth. This simple habit can drastically reduce the buildup of soap scum and hard water spots, meaning you won't have to reach for the heavy-duty cleaner as often. Consider using a daily shower spray for an extra layer of protection. It truly makes a difference in extending the life of your Zep clean. Finding this gem at Dollar Tree for just $3 was the cherry on top. It proves you don't need to spend a fortune to get professional-level cleaning results. If you're tired of products that promise much and deliver little, give Zep an honest try. It truly transformed my cleaning routine and rescued my shower from what I thought was permanent dinginess. Happy cleaning!
