Strawberry Rolls 🍓🍞🌸
For anyone looking to make a different type of “cinnamon roll” ☺️ This was my first attempt at making sweet rolls with strawberry preserve I made from scratch instead of the cinnamon or cookie dough filling I’ve done previously :) Contrary to how messy they look, they tasted amazing 😅😂🫶🏼 I also made the strawberry topping from scratch. I’m not a fan of cream cheese icing or thick icings in general so I made a strawberry whipped cream/icing to put on top instead. It melts into them nicely and adds to the fresh strawberry flavor.
I also always add heavy whipping cream to the rolls before baking them which I like to do with whatever type of sweet rolls I’m baking. I didn’t add heavy cream to one batch to see if there was a difference and thought the rolls turned out a bit too dry and didn’t have a nice crust/crunch the ones with added heavy cream had. Of course it’s all about personal preference though! :) <3
