🍋 3 Lessons Work Anxiety Taught Me

Anxiety at work left me second-guessing everything. I thought it meant I wasn’t strong enough. What I learned instead were three truths that changed everything:

𝟏. 𝐀𝐧𝐱𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬. It is your body sending a signal that something is off.

𝟐. 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐲 𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬. The racing heart, the tight chest, the exhaustion are not flaws. They are messages.

𝟑. 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐨𝐧𝐞. Talking about anxiety does not make it worse. It takes away shame because you see how many others feel the same.

These lessons reminded me of 𝐦𝐲 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞r and made 𝐦𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫, even in the hardest environments.
