1 YEAR POSTPARTUM… & I TOOK MY LIFE BACK. 🥹✨
Nobody really talks about how hard it is watching your body change after having a baby.
I started my pregnancy under 200 lbs…
By the end, I was nearly 250.
And honestly?
That crushed me mentally more than people realized.
I didn’t feel like myself.
I didn’t feel comfortable in my own skin.
I was smiling outside but struggling internally.
But one thing about me?
Once I decide I’m done feeling stuck… I move.
So I started my journey at 217.8 lbs.
My last update was 177 lbs.
And my goal is 140. 🤍
This journey has been bigger than weight loss though.
It’s been about:
• discipline
• confidence
• healing
• consistency
• learning to love myself enough to KEEP going
Some days are harder than others.
Some days I still struggle with how I see myself.
But I had to realize:
I really do have the power to change my reality.
So if you’re on a journey too — whether it’s weight loss, healing, motherhood, depression, confidence, ANYTHING…
Don’t quit on yourself halfway through your transformation.
Stay on this journey with me 🫶🏽✨

One of the most profound yet less talked-about experiences in motherhood is the emotional and physical transformation that occurs postpartum. It’s not just about losing baby weight; it’s about reclaiming your identity and your confidence. From personal experience, I found that the hardest part of the postpartum journey was learning to accept the changes in my body and mindset. During my first year postpartum, I faced many days of doubt and frustration as I adjusted to my new self. The scale showed numbers I hadn’t seen before, and socially I felt invisible while struggling internally. But what truly made a difference was shifting my focus from just weight loss to overall healing and self-love. Embracing discipline and consistency in my routine, rather than crash dieting, helped me build sustainable habits. I learned to celebrate small victories, like choosing healthy meals and moving my body gently rather than pushing it harshly. For anyone else on this journey, know that healing is nonlinear. Some days will be harder, and the mental battle with body image can persist even as your body changes. Community support—whether from friends, other moms, or online groups—can be invaluable for reminding you that you are not alone. Also, be patient with yourself and recognize that postpartum recovery is multifaceted: it involves physical changes, mental health, and emotional growth. One of my proudest moments came from prioritizing mental wellness alongside physical health. I started journaling to process my emotions and practiced affirmations that rebuilt my self-confidence. Remember, your postpartum transformation isn’t just about returning to your pre-pregnancy body but about evolving into a stronger version of yourself. The power to change your reality lies within your persistence and the love you cultivate for yourself throughout the process. Keep going—you’re worth it!
