Pineapple Upside Down Muffins

One of my New Year resolutions is to bake more. The hubby requested these for New Years and it was my first time making them! Apparently they turned out the best he has ever tried 🤪

Ingredients:

1 box yellow cake mix

1 jar maraschino cherries

1 can pineapple slices

6 tbsp butter

3/4 cup brown sugar

Detailed Steps:

Start by maxing the cake according to the box directions. Instead of using the water that the cake asks for, I substituted it with the pineapple juice from the slices. Spray your muffin tin with non stick oil. Melt the butter and add the brown sugar. Stir together. Add 1 tbsp of that mixture to each individual muffin cup spot. Add a slice of pineapple and a cherry in the middle of the pineapple. Top with batter. Start oven to 350° and bake 15-18 minutes. I did exactly 15 minutes and it came out perfect.
