Adding strength training sessions two to three times a week was initially daunting, but building muscle truly gave my metabolism a long-term uplift. Fixing my sleep schedule was crucial. I aimed for 7-8 hours of quality rest, avoiding screens an hour before bed and creating a calming bedtime routine. Hydration also played a key role—not just drinking plain water but consuming electrolytes by adding a pinch of salt and lemon to water to stay balanced. Morning sunlight exposure for about 15-20 minutes helped reset my internal clock and improve mood. Finally, reducing constant snacking and focusing on three structured meals helped my body’s energy systems stabilize. Incorporating magnesium-rich foods like nuts, seeds, spinach, and bananas supported muscle function and reduced fatigue. I also explored the benefits of metabolic herbs such as ashwagandha and turmeric, which are known for calming stress and supporting metabolism.
