✨ BMA co-stage UNESCO, drive learning cities, drive equal education, reduce disparities, prevent children from leaving the system.
(Aug 25, 68) The deputy governor of Bangkok attended the opening ceremony and spoke in support of the Learning, Sharing and Networking Seminar for the UNESCO GNLC and UCCN Membership, chaired by the Minister of Education, Professor Naramil Bhijnawat, on the fourth floor of the Grand Ballroom, the Mantuan Hotel, Riverside, Bangkok, Bang Thok.
Deputy Governor Sanon said: "It is a great honor to launch the Seminar today on behalf of Bangkok. At the heart of the city's education today, there are two main challenges: First, Bangkok schools are aimed at transitioning learning from Education to Learning. The meaning of Education is that people come to us, but Learning is that we make ourselves. How to make schools an area where every child wants to learn and manage their own education?
Another challenge is the disparity. Bangkok has the top PISA (International Student Performance Assessment Program) schools against Singapore, but there are schools that do not meet the level. We can see that there is a huge disparity in education.
Deputy Governor Reliant went on to say that joining the Learning Cities Network is one of the answers that Governor Shush, Ethnic Rights, and the BMA management team are trying to push forward by what we have done, such as making schools safe spaces, changing curricula, adopting technology, elective subjects to study what we like. For inequality, we are trying to bring more children into the education system.
"There are many more challenges that the BMA has to do. Today, it is a pleasure to learn with other cities. We believe that there are solutions already in many cities. We do not need to start thinking alone, but learn between each other, and Bangkok is ready to exchange learning with all cities to develop education together," said Vice-Governor Genon.
กรุงเทพมหานครมีบทบาทสำคัญในการส่งเสริมให้เกิด "เมืองแห่งการเรียนรู้" โดยเด่นชัดในความพยายามขจัดความเหลื่อมล้ำทางการศึกษาและปรับเปลี่ยนรูปแบบการเรียนรู้สู่แนวทางที่เน้นการเรียนรู้อย่างมีส่วนร่วมและสร้างสรรค์ (Learning) แทนการเรียนรู้แบบรับรู้เพียงอย่างเดียว (Education) ซึ่งสอดคล้องกับแผนการพัฒนาการศึกษาและเป้าหมายการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน (SDGs) ข้อที่ 4 ที่มุ่งเน้นการรับประกันคุณภาพการศึกษาและการส่งเสริมการเรียนรู้ตลอดชีวิตสำหรับทุกคน ประเด็นความเหลื่อมล้ำทางการศึกษายังคงเป็นความท้าทายหลักในกรุงเทพฯ เนื่องจากผลการประเมิน PISA แสดงให้เห็นถึงช่องว่างระหว่างโรงเรียนระดับสูงกับโรงเรียนที่ยังมีผลสัมฤทธิ์ต่ำ การเข้าร่วมเครือข่ายเมืองแห่งการเรียนรู้ของยูเนสโกช่วยเปิดโอกาสให้กรุงเทพได้แลกเปลี่ยนประสบการณ์และแนวทางแก้ไขปัญหากับเมืองอื่น ๆ ทั่วโลก ซึ่งอาจนำมาสู่การปฏิรูปและนำนวัตกรรมมาใช้ในระบบการศึกษาอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ กรุงเทพมีการดำเนินการหลายด้านในการพัฒนาคุณภาพการศึกษา เช่น การทำให้โรงเรียนเป็นพื้นที่ปลอดภัยและเอื้อต่อการเรียนรู้ การปรับหลักสูตรให้ทันสมัย และการส่งเสริมวิชาเลือกเสรีเพื่อเปิดโอกาสให้นักเรียนได้ค้นหาความชอบและเส้นทางการเรียนรู้ที่เหมาะสมกับตนเอง นอกจากนี้ยังส่งเสริมการนำเทคโนโลยีดิจิทัลมาใช้ในห้องเรียนเพื่อเสริมสร้างทักษะในศตวรรษที่ 21 การเน้นช่วยเหลือนักเรียนที่เสี่ยงหลุดออกจากระบบการศึกษาเพื่อให้ทุกคนมีโอกาสได้รับการศึกษาที่เท่าเทียมและมีคุณภาพจึงเป็นส่วนสำคัญในการวางแผนพัฒนาการศึกษาในกรุงเทพฯ โครงการการสัมมนา Learning, Sharing and Networking for the UNESCO GNLC and UCCN Membership จึงเป็นเวทีสำคัญที่กรุงเทพมหานครได้แสดงวิสัยทัศน์และความมุ่งมั่นในการพัฒนาการศึกษาผ่านการเป็นสมาชิกของเครือข่ายเมืองแห่งการเรียนรู้ของยูเนสโก ซึ่งส่งผลดีต่อภาพลักษณ์ของเมือง ตลอดจนยกระดับคุณภาพชีวิตของประชาชนและความเท่าเทียมด้านการศึกษาที่จำเป็นสำหรับการพัฒนาเมืองในระยะยาว
