Science of Stress and Mind Recovery # 4 l CBT
The world is cruel...Or just the "glasses" we're wearing, it's cloudy?
Let's try to change the lens to see the world with technique.
Cognitive Reframing
There's a golden sentence of psychology, CBT says...
"Man is not afflicted because of the incident, but afflicted because of the 'thought' towards it."
Imagine our "idea."
It's the glasses we wear.
* * Rainy day (same event) * *
People wearing "gray glasses" (negative thoughts):
Will only see the sloppiness of traffic jams
"It's a bad day today."
People wearing "clear lens glasses" (real / positive thoughts):
Will see that the rain refreshes the trees
The weather is cool and I think
"It's good to sleep at home today."
See? The situation is the same.
But the feeling is different, like the sky and the abyss
Because the "lens" looks different.

Cognitive Reframing technique:
When you feel plummeted or stressed?
To realize that we may be wearing gray glasses.
Try removing your glasses "wipe" by questioning yourself:
❌ "I don't matter, I miss anything."
✅ Let's turn it into: "Where did I miss this time?
So what can I learn from it next time? "(Clear Lens)
We can't change the bad events that happen...
But we can always choose glasses to look at that event.
Let's practice wiping the heart lens clear!
