🍽️🐟This Is the Sardine Plate… Without the Sardines
I know a lot of people have been wanting the viral sardine plate 🐟 but without the sardines, so this is a replacement that still makes sense nutritionally and medicinally. Same intention. Same purpose. Just a different protein 🍽️✨
Nothing on this plate is random. Every ingredient is doing something for the body 🧠🫀🌿
I start with tomatoes 🍅 and bell peppers 🫑 because they bring antioxidants and vitamin C into the plate early. Tomatoes support cellular health and help reduce oxidative stress, while bell peppers support immune function and help calm inflammation. These foods also work better when paired with healthy fats later, which helps your body absorb what you’re eating 🧬✨
Avocado comes next 🥑 because fat matters. Healthy fats support brain function, hormone balance, and nutrient absorption. I keep the seed too 🌱 because seeds carry life force and nothing gets wasted over here.
Red onion 🧅 is there for the gut. It feeds beneficial bacteria and supports blood sugar balance. When your gut is supported, everything else works better from inflammation to energy levels 🔥
The salmon 🐟 is the sardine replacement. It provides omega-3 fatty acids that support brain health, reduce inflammation, and support heart function ❤️ I season it simply with thyme, rosemary, long pepper, and Celtic salt 🌿🧂 to support digestion, circulation, absorption, and mineral balance.
After baking, I put the salmon in the freezer briefly ❄️ Not to freeze it solid, just to firm it up so it flakes clean and doesn’t turn mushy. Texture matters when you’re building a plate like this.
Eggs 🥚 come in for protein and choline, which support brain health and the nervous system. Mayo adds fat for satiety and nutrient absorption, and mustard supports digestion by stimulating bile flow so the body can actually break this meal down 🍯✨
Then I build the base with sprouts 🌱 kale sprouts, broccoli sprouts, and alfalfa sprouts. Sprouts are concentrated nutrition. They digest easily and deliver minerals and compounds straight to the cells 🧬
I finish the plate with fermented and pickled foods 🥒🌵 like my medicinal pickle, cactus concoction, and pickled beets. These support digestion, liver health, circulation, and gut balance. This is where the plate really becomes medicine 🧠✨
