things i wish i knew as a gym beginner 💪🏽
i got into fitness all by myself & i really had to learn what works and what is just a myth!! let me save you the struggle.
💪🏽 you don’t need to workout seven days a week. i was lifting weights SEVEN days a week. i was 16 guys bear with me. i thought you had to work out for atleast two hours and seven days a week to really see results. this led to so many stupid injuries. i recommend you skip this phase.
👟 your daily step count makes bigger changes than you think! i personally aim for 12K-15K a day to help me lose stubborn fat. i never lifted more or changed my diet when i experimented this and i notice more physical change when i upped my steps.
🥗 what you eat matters. you should be prioritizing protein in your diet. protein allows you to repair your muscles faster. but do find balance. i struggled myself with food guilt, try the 80/20 rule.
