Steam Pork Dumplings with Chili Flakes .

Here’s a simple and delicious pork steamed Dumplings recipe!

Ingredients:

• 500g ground pork

• 1/4 cup chopped shrimp (optional, adds flavor)

• 1/4 cup finely chopped carrots

• 1/4 cup minced onions

• 1/4 cup chopped spring onions

• 1 egg

• 1/4 cup breadcrumbs

• 2 tbsp soy sauce

• 1 tbsp sesame oil

• 1 tsp sugar

• 1 tsp salt

• 1/2 tsp ground black pepper

• 1 tbsp oyster sauce

• Wonton wrappers (available at Asian groceries)

Optional toppings:

• Grated carrots or a piece of shrimp for garnish

Instructions:

1. Mix the filling:

In a large bowl, combine ground pork, shrimp (if using), carrots, onions, spring onions, egg, breadcrumbs, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, salt, pepper, and oyster sauce. Mix thoroughly until everything is well incorporated.

2. Assemble the siomai:

Take a wonton wrapper and place about 1 tablespoon of the pork mixture in the center. Gather the edges of the wrapper to form a “cup” shape, leaving the top exposed. Optionally, top with grated carrots or a small piece of shrimp for garnish.

3. Steam the siomai:

Line a steamer with parchment paper or lightly oil it to prevent sticking. Arrange the dumplings with space in between. Steam over medium heat for 15-20 minutes until the pork is fully cooked.

4. Serve:

Enjoy your dumplings with a dipping sauce made of soy sauce, calamansi (or lime), and chili garlic oil. Serve hot!
