Chocolate Chip Walnut Cookies 🍫🥜🍪

Ingredients:

1⅓ cups all-purpose flour

¾ teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon salt

½ cup unsalted butter, softened

⅓ cup brown sugar

⅓ cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup chopped walnuts

What to do:

* Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spread the chopped walnuts on a baking sheet and toast them in the oven for about 5 minutes. Allow them to cool completely before adding them to the dough.

* In a small bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

* In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter with the brown sugar and granulated sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).

* Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.

* Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.

* Fold in the chocolate chips and toasted walnuts.

* Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to firm up.

* Preheat the oven again to 350°F if needed. Use a large cookie scoop and place them on a cookie sheet, spacing them at least 2 inches apart.

* Press additional chocolate chips on top of the cookie dough balls for an extra chocolatey look.

* Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are set and the centers are no longer glossy.
