2.What is AT tire?
AT = All Terrain

จากประสบการณ์ใช้ยางแต่ละประเภทมาระยะหนึ่ง ผมพบว่าการเลือกใช้ยางอ๊อฟโร้ดให้เหมาะสมกับการใช้งานจริงนั้น ช่วยประหยัดค่าใช้จ่ายและเพิ่มความปลอดภัยได้มากกว่าการเลือกยางที่ดูสวยหรือดุดันอย่างเดียว ผมเคยใช้ยาง HT ในการขับรถในเมืองและเดินทางไกลประจำ โดยส่วนตัวชอบความเงียบ นุ่มนวลและความประหยัดน้ำมันของยางประเภทนี้ เพราะทำให้การขับขี่วันต่อวันสบายขึ้นมาก แต่เมื่อต้องออกทริปลุยบ้าง ยาง HT ก็แสดงจุดอ่อน เช่น การลุยในเส้นทางดินหรือฝุ่นทำได้ไม่ดีเท่า เมื่อลองเปลี่ยนมาใช้ยาง AT ผมรู้สึกว่าได้บาลานซ์ที่ดีขึ้น เพราะสามารถขับถนนดำได้ดี และเวลาเข้าเส้นทางลุยเบา ๆ อย่างฝุ่นหรือทางลูกรังก็ทำได้ดีขึ้นโดยไม่เสียความสบายมากนัก เสียงยางจะดังขึ้นเล็กน้อยและน้ำมันอาจจะกินเพิ่มขึ้นนิดหน่อยแต่ยังถือว่าโอเคสำหรับคนที่ใช้รถทั้งในเมืองและออกทริปประปราย สำหรับคนที่ลุยบ่อยขึ้นหรือรถใช้งานหนัก ผมแนะนำยาง RT เพราะความทนทานและดอกยางที่ใหญ่ขึ้นช่วยให้มั่นใจได้เมื่อขับผ่านทางหิน ทางลูกรัง หรือโคลนเล็กน้อย แต่ต้องแลกกับเสียงที่ดังขึ้นและความนุ่มนวลที่ลดลงบ้าง จึงเหมาะกับรถกระบะหรือ PPV ที่ใช้งานหลากหลายและเน้นทางลุยบางครั้ง สุดท้ายกับสายลุยแบบจริงจังที่ผมเคยเห็นการใช้งานยาง MT มาอย่างใกล้ชิด คือยางที่เหมาะสำหรับออฟโรดหนัก เหมาะกับคนที่เข้าป่า ลุยโคลนหรือหินโดยเฉพาะ ส่วนตัวเจอยาง MT ทำให้ขับลุยได้เต็มที่ตามที่ตั้งใจ แต่เสียงยางดัง น้ำมันกินเยอะ และเวลาขับถนนดำกลับต้องระมัดระวังมากขึ้นเพราะการเกาะถนนไม่ดีเท่ายาง HT หรือ AT สรุปท้ายที่สุด การเลือกยางที่เหมาะสมกับรูปแบบการใช้งานของเรา ไม่เพียงช่วยให้ขับขี่ได้ปลอดภัย แต่ยังช่วยเพิ่มความสบายในการขับและประหยัดค่าใช้จ่ายในระยะยาว หลายครั้งที่คนเลือกแต่ลวดลายดอกยางสวยหรือดุ ทั้งที่อาจไม่เหมาะกับสภาพถนนหรือการใช้งานจริง ซึ่งอาจส่งผลเสียตามมาได้ ดังนั้นควรประเมินสภาพการขับขี่และเลือกยางตามลักษณะการใช้งานเป็นหลักจะดีที่สุด
