where did all the time go? It’s starting fly

Happy New Year’s everybody I can’t believe 2026 is already here. Here’s like a photo dump of me throughout the year so I hope you like it

2025/12/31 Edited to

... Read moreIt's a universal feeling, isn't it? That moment when you look back and wonder, 'Where did all the time go?' It honestly feels like just yesterday we were ringing in the last New Year, and now 2026 is here, ready to flyyyyy by! I totally get it when people say time seems to speed up as we get older. My own photo dump from last year just reinforces how many incredible (and sometimes challenging!) moments are packed into 365 days, and yet, they all seem to blend into a blur. So, why does time feel like it's constantly on fast-forward? A lot of it has to do with routine. When our days are predictable, our brains don't create as many new memories, making periods feel shorter in retrospect. Think about a vacation – it often feels longer because every day is packed with new experiences. This made me think: how can we infuse more novelty into our everyday lives to make time feel richer, not just faster? One thing I've started doing is practicing mindfulness, even if it's just for a few minutes each day. Truly savoring my morning coffee, noticing the details during a walk, or really listening during a conversation. It's about being fully present in the moment. Another tip? Try something new, even small things! A new recipe, a different route to work, or picking up a new hobby. These novel experiences create new memories and can make weeks feel fuller. You'd be surprised how much this helps combat that 'time is flyyyyying' feeling. Even creating a cozy corner for reflection, perhaps with a comfy 'Pillow Pink' cushion, can help you slow down and process. Beyond just snapping photos, I've found immense joy in actively preserving memories. While a photo dump is a great start, I've also begun a 'memory jar' where I jot down little wins, funny moments, or special occurrences on slips of paper throughout the year. On New Year's Eve, I empty it out and relive all those forgotten gems. Journaling is another powerful tool. Writing down thoughts, feelings, and events in more detail helps solidify memories and gives you a much richer tapestry to look back on than just visuals. It's like building your own personal archive of 'where did the time go' answers! As we welcome 2026, it's easy to get caught up in resolutions and future plans. But I believe it's equally important to pause and appreciate the journey that brought us here. Reflect on the growth, the lessons, and the joy of the past year. It makes embracing the future feel more grounded and intentional. To truly make the most of the time ahead, I'm focusing on setting intentions rather than strict resolutions – things like 'be more present' or 'learn one new skill a month.' This way, even as the days continue to flyyyyy, I feel more in control of my experience. So, let's keep making those memories and finding ways to truly live each moment, appreciating every second.
