Healthy grocery list but make it budget friendly ✨

Total cost of all of these is $55. It’s a mix of Costco and Walmart.

The meats are from Walmart because they’re cheaper and I don’t need to always get a lot so I don’t choose Costco for meats. I got my produce, snacks and tuna from Costco. It’s cheaper and you get more for your buck for the snacks. These are healthy choices for the week. I make tuna salad sandwiches for lunch. I’m making soy sauce chicken, chicken curry and brats for dinners this week!

Sometimes I’ll buy the bigger chicken pack and split it in two for double the meals. The chicken from Walmart tastes fairly good!

How much do you budget for your week? This is very low for me but not mad about it.

Walmart tends to offer better prices on meats, especially if you don’t need large quantities, so opting for chicken or brats there can really stretch your dollars. Meanwhile, Costco shines for produce and snacks — buying in bulk not only saves money but also ensures you have plenty of healthy options on hand throughout the week. One trick I’ve found useful is purchasing larger packs of chicken from Walmart and splitting them into smaller portions, freezing half for meal prep later. This helps reduce waste and gives you double the meals for less, ideal if you have a busy schedule. For lunches, I rely heavily on mercury-tested yellowfin tuna, which is both affordable and nutritious. Tuna salad sandwiches become convenient, protein-packed meals that keep energy levels stable during the day. Additionally, incorporating a variety of meals like soy sauce chicken, chicken curry, and brats offers not just delicious diversity but also balanced nutrition over the week. Adding fresh fruits like California mandarins and healthy snacks such as chickpea puffs adds natural sweetness and fiber without breaking the bank. Budgeting for groceries around $55 is an achievable goal by focusing on what stores offer the best deals for specific items and planning meals strategically. This method not only supports a healthy lifestyle but keeps food costs manageable. Consider sharing your own budget tips and grocery finds to build a community of savvy, health-conscious shoppers!

Crazy! I didn’t think you could get that much food for $55 anymore.
