Let's make bread from scratch 🍞😋

Recently, I have been making an effort to become more independent. That includes things I have learned to make from scratch!

So if you're into that kind of lifestyle I'm the girl for you😉

After trying sevverralll recipes this is the one that my family enjoys! It's a few of the recipes I tried with trial and error to become what it is! It comes out soft and delicious every single time!

-Add 1tbs of Sugar (you can also use honey or a sugar substitute if you prefer. I can say honey also tastes delicious!), 2 1/2 tsp of yeast(or just 1 packet), and 1 1/2 cups of warm milk (whatever milk you prefer..WARM not hot milk, you will kill your yeast!) If you use active yeast let it set for 10 minutes and let it bloom, I use instant dry yeast so I skip this step.

- You are then going to slowly add 3 1/2 cups of flour. You can use all purpose flour, I prefer bread flour.

-While your dough is mixing add 1 tsp of salt and 3tbs of ROOM TEMP butter. (If the butter makes your dough sticky add a bit of flour in small amounts until the dough pulls from the bowl into a ball.)

-Mix in a stand mixer for 4-5 minutes or knead by hand for about 10. You know it's ready to rest when the dough is smooth and when you push a finger slightly into the dough it bounces back.

-Oil a clean bowl and let the dough rest for the 1st time for 60 minutes or until it doubles in size.

-When dough is finished rising, punch it down. Shape your dough into loafs.

-Oil your bread pan/pans. I have used 2 9x5 bread pans in the past (because this recipe will make one tall loaf in one 9x5 pan lol) but now I use 1 9x13 loaf pan.

-Let this rise for another 60 mins.

-Preheat your oven to 325 degrees fahrenheit. When ready add an egg wash to the top and bake bread for 25-30 minutes until the top is a nice golden brown.

Trust me on this let that bread cool completely before you cut into it! I know you will be tempted before!
