Learning My Attachment Patterns Without Judgment

I took an anxious attachment quiz today and scored 33.

Not to label myself — but to understand my patterns.

Awareness is where change starts.

And I’m choosing to meet this version of me with compassion, not shame.

If this resonates, you’re not alone 🤍

... Read moreTaking the anxious attachment quiz was an eye-opening experience for me. Scoring a 33 indicated a strong anxious attachment pattern, which at first felt overwhelming. But instead of labeling myself or judging these feelings, I chose to approach this discovery with kindness and curiosity. I realized that awareness truly is the starting point for change, and meeting myself with compassion rather than shame creates the space needed to heal. If you find yourself relating to this, know that it’s common to worry about whether others care as much as you do or to struggle with trusting positive feedback. Many of us tend to overanalyze interactions or feel "too much" in relationships. Recognizing these tendencies helps build a foundation for healthier communication and boundary setting. One thing I started practicing immediately was a simple micro-practice: when feelings of anxiety or doubt arise, I pause and remind myself that these feelings don’t define my worth or the quality of my relationships. This little step has helped me reduce self-criticism and create space for self-acceptance. Remember, learning about attachment patterns isn’t about labeling yourself negatively but about understanding the root causes of your feelings and behaviors. Over time, this understanding can guide you towards more secure, fulfilling connections. You are not alone on this journey—not at all.
