💠 Are you trying to keep your grocery expenses in check?

💠 Do you hunt for specific items to snag the best deals?

💠 This year, I took the plunge into budgeting for my grocery shopping! I realized I was spending way too much each month, so I started buying in bulk and searching for deals to whip up meals.

💠 Welcome to the first entry of my mini diary series, showcasing meals that cost under $10! I recently scored an incredible deal for just under that amount! I found cut green beans at my local store for a mere 2 cents—what a steal! 🤩 The cream corn was 67 cents per can, and the chicken thighs came to $7.37. After tax, my total was $9.23. I seasoned the chicken thighs with Mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Hot Sauce, Minced Garlic, Garlic Powder, Salt, Pepper, Paprika, and an Egg, letting it marinate for about 15 minutes. Then, I seared the chicken in butter and added Beef Broth and Flour to create a delicious gravy. 😋

💠 For the green beans and corn, I kept it simple. I mixed Beef Broth, Flour, Worcestershire, and Garlic Powder into the green beans for a tasty side, while the cream corn only needed a sprinkle of pepper (which turned out to be surprisingly delightful!). Rice would have been a great addition to the chicken, but this meal was quite satisfying on its own! I can’t wait to see what my next under-$10 meal will be! 😅
