I wanted to share this for that specific, bold energy! as a necessary reminder of worth.
This short but mighty phrase is the best advice for life, dating, work, friendships, and especially self-worth. It’s so easy to find yourself minimizing your passions, your achievements, or even your personality to make other people feel comfortable. Or maybe you're doing all the emotional heavy lifting to maintain a relationship or a standard that someone else is not meeting.
STOP! 🛑 You are not a sale item. Your standards are not seasonal clearances. Your value is intrinsic.
If you bring premium-tier energy, communication, passion, or skill to the table, it is on everyone else to level UP to that standard to sit with you. It is not on you to dilute yourself to make their low effort feel adequate.
When you refuse to lower your standards, two things happen:
You repel the people who are not meant for you and your journey. Good riddance!
You attract and inspire the people who are willing to rise to the occasion and meet you there. Hello, connection!
My challenge to you is this:
This weekend, look at one area of your life where you feel you might be "dumbing it down" or playing small. And then, intentionally, just refuse to do it. Just hold your ground and wait for the right people/situation to come up and get you at your level. The view from up here is much better.

It was liberating to realize I wasn’t responsible for carrying emotional labor for those not willing to meet me halfway.
