RECIPE: High Protein Tiramisu
Been seeing all those recipes where people are making tiramisu with only greek yogurt and I felt so cheated, so I decided to make tiramisu with actual cheese. This recipe uses primarily cottage cheese (and ABIT of yogurt still), but actually tastes like tiramisu so you don't feel like you're missing out while still keeping to your health and fitness goals!

Ingredients:
120g cottage cheese
1 weetabix biscuit
15g protein (I used @WOAH Group SG International Protein vanilla ice cream flavour - get 15% off when you use
30ml black coffee
3g sugar-free jello pudding (optional)
40g yoghurt (I treated myself and used full-fat cos it tastes better, but you can use low or non-fat if you want your dessert with even less calories)
Cocoa powder
Steps:
1. Crush a weetabix biscuit and mix with your coffee, then flatten it at the bottom of a glass/bowl. Set aside in the fridge.
2. Mix cottage cheese, yogurt, jello pudding and protein powder together, then add on top of the weetabix coffee base. You can add maple syrup if you want it sweeter.
3. Leave in the fridge for about 30 min, then top with cocoa powder and enjoy!

If you're looking to enjoy a classic dessert like tiramisu without compromising your healthy eating goals, this high-protein version using cottage cheese offers a fantastic alternative. Unlike many recipes that rely solely on Greek yogurt, incorporating cottage cheese adds a richer, creamier texture and an authentic taste closer to traditional tiramisu. Weetabix as the base is a clever choice because it provides fiber and a crunchy texture that soaks up the coffee nicely, mimicking the ladyfingers usually used in tiramisu. Mixing the cottage cheese with a bit of full-fat yogurt balances creaminess with nutrition, but you can adjust the fat content to suit your preferences and calorie needs. Adding protein powder not only boosts the protein content for muscle support but also helps keep you fuller longer, which is great for anyone managing their weight. This recipe is also customizable—consider experimenting with sugar-free jello pudding for an extra gelatinous layer or adding natural sweeteners like maple syrup if you prefer a bit of sweetness. The coffee-soaked Weetabix base gives you that unmistakable coffee flavour essential to tiramisu. Letting the dessert chill in the fridge allows flavors to meld and gives that classic, luscious, layered texture. From my experience, using full-fat yogurt truly enhances the flavor and makes the dessert much more satisfying, even though lower-fat options are available. The cocoa powder sprinkled on top completes the look and adds a perfect bitter contrast to the creamy sweetness. Overall, this recipe strikes a balance between indulgence and nutrition—ideal for anyone who loves dessert but wants to stay on track with their health goals.
