The book cover for Maya Angelou's 'The Heart of a Woman' features a woman's silhouette and red-orange flowers on a dark background, resting on a white fluffy surface. A quote from Kirkus Reviews is visible.

This book is absolutely amazing. Maya Angelou’s early life was truly one worth writing about. She eloquently writes of the duality of women and the lives our grandmothers were forced to live. Having a child at 17, receiving the assistance of her mother and shortly after taking full custody. May

Behind Her Lives by Briana Cole 5/5 This book is really good. It’s so f****d up. I wanted to ball my eyes out by chapter two. If you love suspense like me this is definitely the one for you. It’s like vigilante detective kind of book but about sisters. I’m definitely gonna read more books by her.

A book page with highlighted text discussing biblical roles in marriage, emphasizing that loving a spouse as Christ loved the church is challenging and requires sacrificial love, not just words.

A book page with highlighted text stating that love for God should be in a different category and far beyond love for family. It shows two lists, contrasting a typical order of affections with a biblical mandate placing God first.
