Genuine recommendation skin product for skin problem caused by medication

My skin became as dry as the desert… and I almost gave up.

I never thought one day my health condition would affect my skin so badly.

Because of my heart condition, my kidney function was also affected. With the medication I needed (especially water pills), my body and skin went through so many changes.

My skin became extremely dry… not just normal dry, but the kind where no matter what I applied, it still felt uncomfortable. 😭

Then came another battle — acne breakout.

At my age, facing acne again really affected me more than I expected. It was not just about appearance. Emotionally, it was very discouraging.

Every morning looking into the mirror, seeing new breakouts, marks that refused to fade… I honestly felt so helpless.

For almost a year, I tried so many ways and different products, hoping to calm my skin, repair the damage and prevent new breakouts.

I’m sharing this because I know how painful it feels when your skin changes because of things you cannot control.

Recently, a friend introduced me to this little green bottle — Paraller 7HA Hydrating Repairing Serum.

At first, I didn’t expect much because I had already tried so many things.

But after using it for a while… I actually started noticing my skin becoming calmer and more hydrated.

That small improvement meant so much to me because after struggling for so long, finally seeing progress gave me hope again.

What I personally like is that the formula feels gentle and focuses on hydration and skin barrier support. For someone like me who became very careful with what I apply on my skin, that was very important.

I became curious and read more about Paraller’s story.

Surprisingly, the brand was started by a Malaysian founder who also struggled with her own complexion issues years ago. Instead of just creating another skincare brand, she created something based on her own skin journey.

They have quietly served customers in Malaysia for about 8 years already — not a loud commercial brand, just growing through real recommendations.

I actually found out about it through a friend who was recommended by a home-based beautician. No regrets giving it a try.

And good news for my Singapore friends — I realised Paraller SG just launched their Instagram recently too!

Sometimes healing our skin is not about finding a “miracle overnight solution”.

Sometimes it is just finding something gentle, suitable, and finally giving our skin the support it needs.

Sharing this for anyone going through the same struggle.

Don’t lose hope.

... Read moreDealing with skin issues caused by medications can be incredibly frustrating, as I’ve experienced firsthand. When you rely on vital medications like diuretics for conditions such as heart and kidney problems, the side effects on your skin can be harsh and persistent—extreme dryness and unexpected acne breakouts complicate daily life. Through my journey, I learned that traditional skincare products often don’t address these specific concerns because they don’t consider the delicate state of medication-affected skin. What made a real difference for me was finding a serum that prioritized hydration and repairing the skin’s barrier rather than aggressively targeting acne or dryness alone. The Paraller 7HA Hydrating Repairing Serum stood out because of its gentle formulation, including multiple types of hyaluronic acid that deeply nourish and maintain moisture without irritating sensitive, compromised skin. Consistency is key—I noticed gradual improvements such as reduced tightness, fewer breakouts, and a calmer complexion after weeks of use. Another important aspect I discovered is the benefit of supporting the skin barrier when it’s been disrupted by medication side effects. Strengthening this barrier helps protect against environmental damage and prevents moisture loss, which in turn lessens dryness and sensitivity. It’s not about quick fixes but steady, nurturing care that respects your skin’s unique needs. I also appreciated learning about the story behind the brand—founded by someone who personally struggled with skin challenges, which adds authenticity and confidence in the product’s effectiveness. For anyone facing similar medication-induced skin problems, investing in a hydrating, skin barrier-focused serum like Paraller 7HA can be a game changer. Remember, patience and gentle care pave the way to skin recovery rather than chasing overnight miracles. Additionally, incorporating a fragrance-free, mild cleanser and avoiding harsh exfoliants or irritants complements the serum’s benefits. Hydrating serums work best when the rest of your routine supports skin health holistically. Finally, consulting with a dermatologist familiar with your medication regimen can guide tailored skincare choices for optimal results.
