Chicken breast provides excellent lean protein, essential for muscle development and energy, while carrots are packed with Vitamin A, fiber, and antioxidants, great for vision and overall health. Plus, knowing you're using fresh, human-grade ingredients gives you peace of mind. For this recipe, I also love incorporating goat cheese and goat milk powder. My vet once mentioned that goat dairy can be easier for some dogs to digest compared to cow's milk products, offering a good source of calcium without upsetting sensitive tummies. It adds a lovely richness and flavor that dogs seem to adore! Getting Started: Ingredients & Preparation You'll need: 7 oz chicken breast, 4.2 oz carrots, 0.7 oz goat cheese, and 1/4 cup goat milk powder. The beauty of this recipe is its simplicity! Start by washing your carrots thoroughly and dicing them into small pieces. Do the same with the chicken breast. You want everything to be small enough to blend or mash easily. The OCR mentioned steaming, which is a fantastic way to cook these ingredients while retaining their nutrients. I usually steam the chicken and carrots together for about 30 minutes until they're tender. Once cooked, let them cool down a bit before moving to the next step. Mixing, Shaping, and the Secret to a Perfect Treat After steaming, I mash the chicken and carrots together. Then, crumble in the goat cheese and mix in the goat milk powder until everything is well combined into a dough-like consistency.
