Anyone Else Getting Edema During Pregnancy?

I started getting some nasty edema in my feet and ankles since week 35.

I thought it was just from wearing lame shoes that day, and the swelling went down overnight. But, I it wasn't gone until now. It hurt really bad this week. I can’t walk, and it’s really close to my due day.

Is anyone else having pregnancy related edema? Apparently I just get to suffer with this for the whole pregnancy. Any tips for relief? I don’t want to delivery my baby with it

Also just looking for a sympathetic ear.🥹

... Read moreEdema during pregnancy, often resulting from increased blood volume and hormonal changes, can lead to discomfort and pain, particularly in the later stages. As many pregnant women can attest, swelling can be a common yet concerning issue. It's essential to stay hydrated and elevate your legs when possible to reduce swelling. Gentle exercises such as stretching or walking can also aid circulation and alleviate discomfort. Many women find support from online forums and communities to be beneficial for sharing experiences and tips. If edema persists or worsens, it's crucial to consult with a healthcare provider to rule out any serious conditions, such as preeclampsia. Remember, you're not alone in this journey, and seeking comfort from others experiencing similar challenges can be incredibly helpful.

Compression socks, elevate the legs above the heart and drink lots of water! I had a c section in the beginning of the month and was given lots of fluid through IV, I swelled up so bad.. it finally went away after a week and a half

Sigvaris compression socks, look up lymphatic massages to do on your legs, liquid Iv (powder that can go in water), light exercise (walking), and elevating your legs. Not pregnant, but I’ve had arthritis and lymphedema since I was 11.
