What I told myself

2/15 Edited to

... Read moreStarting my fitness journey with PCOS, I remember thinking, "This is never going to work." With a starting weight of 187 lbs and a height of 5'3", I felt overwhelmed and doubted my ability to stick with it. I actually told myself I would quit after two months. But surprisingly, that didn't happen. What kept me going was focusing on small, realistic goals rather than chasing perfection. Slowing down when needed helped me avoid burnout, avoiding the "worked a little too hard" trap that many fall into early on. The key element was consistency—even on days when motivation dipped, I pushed myself to show up. Incorporating strength training and tracking body recomposition results instead of only the scale helped me see real progress. Moreover, embracing the hashtag communities like #gymmotivation and #pcos online offered support and inspiration from people experiencing similar challenges. If you’re dealing with PCOS and fitness, stay patient and celebrate small wins. Trust the process even when results seem slow. Remember, mental resilience is just as important as physical effort. It’s normal to feel like quitting but remind yourself why you started and how far you’ve come. This mindset shift made all the difference for me and can do the same for you.
