Ghirardelli Matcha Cookies 🍪
Ghirardelli Matcha Cookies
Yield: About 12–14 cookies
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Bake Time: 10–12 minutes
Ingredients:
1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
2 tbsp ceremonial grade matcha powder
½ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
½ cup brown sugar, packed
¼ cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 ½ tsp vanilla extract
1 cup Ghirardelli white chocolate chips (or chopped white chocolate bar)
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Mix dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, matcha powder, baking soda, and salt.
3. Cream butter and sugars: In a large bowl, use a hand or stand mixer to beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (about 2–3 minutes).
4. Add wet ingredients: Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
5. Combine: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet, mixing until just combined.
6. Fold in chocolate: Gently fold in Ghirardelli white chocolate chips.
7. Scoop dough: Use a medium cookie scoop or tablespoon to scoop dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
8. Bake: Bake for 10–12 minutes or until edges are set and tops are lightly golden. They may look a bit soft in the center — that’s perfect.
9. Cool: Let cookies rest on the sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
