... Read moreUndergoing bariatric surgery is undoubtedly a significant, life-changing decision that comes with both physical and emotional challenges. From my experience, the initial days after surgery are the hardest, often accompanied by sharp discomfort and a steep learning curve on how to care for your body. One thing I learned is that recovery is not just about healing from surgery but also about adopting a new lifestyle — from meal planning to incorporating gradual physical activity. The pain I felt early on, as mentioned in my post with the phrase "That HURT.....", was part of the process that ultimately led me to a healthier future. Sharing such raw moments can be motivating, showing that difficulties are temporary and transformation is possible. Staying connected with communities and hashtags like #weighloss, #bariatricsurgery, and #fyp made me realize how many people are on this path too. Watching others’ journeys boosted my morale and helped me stay committed to my goals. It’s important to remember that every body heals differently, so listening to your own needs and pacing yourself is key. For anyone considering bariatric surgery or currently recovering, my advice is to be patient, document your progress, and surround yourself with support both online and offline. Celebrate small victories and keep pushing forward, even when the pain or frustration momentarily overshadow your ambitions. I encourage others to "Keep watching" because transformation isn’t only about the destination but also about the strength and resilience built throughout the journey.
