Green Bean Casserole

This is not your average holiday side — we’re talking tender-crisp green beans, a rich creamy mushroom sauce, and crispy onions baked to golden perfection. 🥹 It’ll steal the show at any table!

* 2 lbs fresh green beans

* 8 oz mushrooms

* 1 shallot

* 4 cloves garlic

* 2 tbsp olive oil

* 4 tbsp unsalted butter

* 2 tbsp all-purpose flour

* 1¾ cups chicken or veggie broth

* ⅔ cup milk

* ½ cup heavy cream

* ½ cup grated parmesan (optional)

* French’s crispy onions

* Salt & black pepper

👩‍🍳 To make it:

1. Blanch green beans for 3 mins in boiling water, drain.

2. Sauté mushrooms in olive oil & butter (5–8 mins), add shallot & garlic.

3. Make the sauce: Push mushrooms aside, melt butter, stir in flour. Whisk in broth & milk. Simmer till thick.

4. Stir in cream & cheese, then season.

5. Toss in green beans, mix well.

6. Transfer to casserole dish, top with crispy onions.
