Easy Yellow Rice with Basmati

This vibrant Yellow Rice is fluffy, fragrant, and packed with warm spices ✨🍚 It’s the perfect side for grilled chicken, curry, or roasted veggies—and it comes together so easily!

What You Need:

✅ 1 Tablespoon olive oil

✅ 1 small onion, diced

✅ 3 cloves garlic, minced

✅ 1 ½ cups basmati rice, rinsed

✅ Pinch saffron threads

✅ 1 teaspoon ground turmeric

✅ ½ teaspoon kosher salt

✅ 1 teaspoon baharat (optional)

✅ 2 cardamom pods (optional)

✅ 1 cinnamon stick

✅ 2 ½ cups chicken broth

✅ ½ cup golden raisins

Optional Garnishes:

✅ ¼ cup chopped toasted almonds

✅ ¼ cup fresh chopped parsley

Instructions:

1️⃣ Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Sauté onion until translucent, then add garlic and cook 30 seconds.

2️⃣ Stir in rinsed rice. Add saffron, turmeric, salt, baharat, cardamom, and cinnamon stick.

3️⃣ Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Cover, reduce heat to low, and cook for 20 minutes.

4️⃣ Sprinkle golden raisins over the rice. Turn off heat, cover, and let rest 10 minutes.

5️⃣ Fluff with a fork and garnish with toasted almonds and parsley, if desired.
