I really lost myself for a while between motherhood, building a house, working, and trying to put down roots 2k miles from where I grew up. 3 years and 30 pounds later I finally feel like I am in a place mentally where I can recommit to myself. 🥰

Self care has always been a struggle alongside my mental health but I think I'm finally turning things around inside my brain. Something clicked recently and I've improved by leaps and bounds. Now to keep that momentum going to become the best version of myself ❤️💪

Swipe for some meal inspo and my stats (accountability to myself and to you guys for my starting point today)

... Read moreBalancing motherhood, major life transitions, and self-care can be incredibly challenging, especially when compounded by mental health struggles. It’s inspiring to see how a shift in mindset can lead to significant improvements and renewed commitment to personal well-being. Prioritizing yourself is key when life feels overwhelming, and small changes such as incorporating nutrient-dense meals like veggie frittatas, sweet potatoes, and fiber-rich chia seeds can boost not just physical health but also mental clarity. For many, starting over in a new place—like moving 2,000 miles away from familiar roots—adds another layer of complexity to rebuilding routines. Accountability, whether to oneself or a supportive community like the #lockin2025 group, provides motivation and helps maintain momentum. Embracing self-care might start with mental shifts but also includes tangible actions such as preparing wholesome meals. Meals like tofu cabbage stir-fry provide a plant-based punch of protein and vegetables that can sustain energy throughout the day. Remember, self-care isn’t just a buzzword; it’s a vital practice for long-term health. Setting realistic goals, celebrating small victories such as weight management progress, and being kind to yourself during setbacks all contribute to becoming the best version of yourself. If you’re looking to embark on a similar journey, consider meal prepping balanced dishes with plenty of fiber and protein, pairing this with regular mental health check-ins or journaling. These practices help create a sustainable routine that nourishes both body and mind. Ultimately, success in self-care lies in patience and persistence. The fact that you’ve come so far mentally and physically is a testament to your strength. Keep building on this solid foundation, and remember that every day is a new opportunity to invest in your well-being.

how I lost 14 lbs by eating right, not less!
I eat more now than I did on the left — I had a bad relationship with food and I was lazy when it came to cooking. I used to be one of those girls that would count calories, eat “fat free”, wait until 4/5pm to have a bite of food… I would be so hungry I’d binge, understandably. I would feel so
