Sticky Sweet Yarn
It reminds me of candy! I’d also considered calling it Pink Lemonade! Which seems appropriate for my first post here.
I love this bright orange, pink, yellow color combo! 🧡💖💛
Since I caught up on (most) all of my back orders, I took a sec to do a yarn for me.
Not the best footage but 🤷♀️
Hey fellow fiber artists! You know how I'm absolutely obsessed with these vibrant, candy-like colors in my latest Sticky Sweet Yarn? Well, lately, I’ve been thinking about how perfect these 'Pink Lemonade' hues would be for some truly adorable and unique amigurumi projects, especially for anyone searching for 'sticky situations' or 'marshmallow amigurumi' ideas! When I spun this yarn, with its bright orange, pink, and yellow blend, I kept picturing little squishy, sweet creations. Imagine crocheting tiny, fluffy marshmallows that look good enough to eat! The soft, slightly irregular texture of handspun yarn can add so much character to amigurumi, making them feel extra cozy and handmade, just like real marshmallows. Using handspun yarn means each piece will have its own unique charm, a true one-of-a-kind creation. So, for those of you dreaming up some 'sticky situations' in yarn form, let’s brainstorm! You could make a whole family of marshmallow characters – maybe some perfectly toasted brown ones, some classic white, and definitely some in these fun pink and yellow ombre shades from my Sticky Sweet batch. How cute would a s'mores amigurumi set be? Picture a little graham cracker base, a chocolate square, and then a perfectly puffed, slightly melted marshmallow using these delightful colors! You could even add tiny embroidered details to make them look like they're oozing a bit, creating that lovely 'sticky' effect without the mess. Using handspun yarn for amigurumi does come with a few tips to ensure your sweet creations turn out perfectly. First, choose a hook size that gives you a nice, tight fabric to prevent stuffing from showing through. For handspun, I usually go down a size from what I'd use for commercial yarn to achieve that dense, secure stitch. Also, with these unique colors, it's fun to play around with color changes to create stripes or color blocks that mimic different candy layers. Don't forget to firmly stuff your amigurumi to give them that satisfying, squishy feel that marshmallows have – a good quality poly-fill works wonders. For details, a bit of embroidery can go a long way – think tiny smiles, rosy cheeks, or even sprinkles! Beyond marshmallows, these 'Sticky Sweet' colors could also inspire other candy-themed amigurumi: little gummy bears, lollipops, or even miniature ice cream scoops. The key is to embrace the playful, sugary palette that these colors provide. I'm so excited about the possibilities these colors bring to life for any fiber artist. If you're looking for that next fun, whimsical project, especially something that evokes a sweet, 'sticky' vibe, definitely consider some colorful handspun yarn like this. I can’t wait to see what 'sticky situations' you all create with your hooks and needles!

It reminds me of this popsicle!❤️❤️❤️
