Try this jasmine syrup with your matcha!

Hiiii everyone!! Let’s make jasmine syrup! This is definitely my favorite syrup ever. What makes it even better is that you can make it at home and pair it with all sorts of drinks like teas, milk teas, lemonade, cocktails, coffee, and my personal favorite matcha. This recipe is super easy, uses just a few ingredients, and comes together quickly.

Tools:

• Small pot

• Measuring spoons (1/4, 1 cup)

• 1 measuring cup for water

• Strainer

• Stirring spatula

• cute syrup dispenser

Ingredients:

• 1 jasmine tea bag or 1 tablespoon loose jasmine tea/flowers

• 1 cup water

• 1 cup sugar (use any sugar you prefer)

• 1 drop to 1/8 teaspoon vanilla (optional; I’ve made it without vanilla, and it’s just as good)

How to Make Jasmine Syrup

1. In a small pot, add 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar. Turn on the heat and stir until the sugar dissolves. Bring it to a gentle boil and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.

2. Once simmering, lower the heat and add 1 jasmine tea bag cut opened or 1 tablespoon of loose jasmine tea/flowers. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes. Turn off the heat and let it steep for 5–7 minutes, depending on how strong you want the flavor.

3. Add vanilla (optional): 1 drop (yes I said 1 drop) to 1/4 of vanilla for a subtle hint of flavor.

4. Let the syrup cool.

5. Once steeped and cooled, strain out the loose tea.

6. Transfer the syrup to a dispenser, seal it tightly, and store it in the refrigerator.

7. Enjoy! Use your jasmine syrup to sweeten everything and anything!
