My Relactation Journey 🤍

I’d like to that me for believing in me❤️.

After 4 months i regretted giving up on pumping , so I started back after being COMPLETELY dried up. Did all my research and tried all the things and here I am 7 weeks later with a full supply 40oz a day ! I’ve been able to make a freezer stash as well as feed baby which I’m extremely thankful for. If you’re a mom that regrets giving up on breastfeeding or pumping. You still have time , it’s never too late to relactate! You just have to initiate it. After all the research I did I made a step by step guide on how to gain a full milk supply for moms that want to relactate or even mamas dealing with low milk supply. If you’re interested it’ll be in my bio ❣️ happy pumping .

... Read moreMy heart sank when I realized I deeply regretted stopping pumping. For four months, my supply was completely gone – dried up. I thought that was it, my chance to provide for my baby was over. But a small voice inside me kept saying, 'What if? What if I could get it back?' That 'what if' led me down a rabbit hole of research and a journey I never expected: successfully relactating and achieving a full milk supply in just 7 weeks! When I decided to try, I knew it wouldn't be easy. The first step was initiating stimulation, even with no milk present. I started with frequent pumping sessions, mimicking a newborn's feeding schedule. This meant waking up every 2-3 hours, day and night, to pump for 15-20 minutes. It felt disheartening at first, seeing nothing or just a few drops. But consistency was key. I also invested in a hospital-grade pump, which made a huge difference in efficiency. Beyond the pump, I delved into various methods mothers had used for relactation. I learned about galactagogues – natural herbs and foods that can help boost milk production. Fenugreek, blessed thistle, and lactation cookies became staples in my diet. Hydration was also paramount; I carried a water bottle everywhere, constantly reminding myself to drink. Nutrition played a role too; eating balanced meals and ensuring enough calories supported my body's efforts. There were days I wanted to give up. Days where I felt exhausted, frustrated, and doubted if my body could truly come back from being completely dried up. But seeing those first few ounces slowly trickle in after weeks of dedication was incredibly motivating. It was a sign that my body was responding, a true sign of successful relactation in progress. My mentality shifted from 'can I?' to 'I am doing this!' The key for me was patience and perseverance. It wasn't an overnight miracle, but a gradual build-up. After about 3-4 weeks, I started seeing a noticeable increase, and by the 7-week mark, I was consistently producing around 40oz a day! It felt like a dream come true to not only feed my baby directly but also build a substantial freezer stash. For any mama out there wondering, 'Can you get your milk supply back if it dries up?' my answer is a resounding YES. It’s never too late to try, and your body is capable of amazing things. My personal relactation journey wasn't just about milk; it was about reclaiming a part of my motherhood journey I thought I’d lost forever.
