Day 20: I’ve made no progress

I am not seeing any progress. It’s been 20 days since I started this journey. I started with the intention of a slow weight loss journey. I wanted it the weight loss to be sustainable. I started at 160.8 on day 1 and I am 160.7 on day 20. Aside from more toned arms and legs, I have seen any improvement. Yes My health did improved slightly but honestly I started this weight loss journey for purely vain reasons. I lowkey want to quit.#weightlossprogress #beforeandafterweightloss #FAT #overweight #winterarc

... Read moreEmbarking on a weight loss journey can often be a rollercoaster of emotions, and it's not uncommon to hit roadblocks like I did on Day 20. While the scale barely budged, I have noticed slight improvements in my muscle tone, particularly in my arms and legs, which is a reminder that progress isn't solely measured by weight. Sustainable weight loss takes time, especially when aiming for a long-term lifestyle change rather than quick fixes. It's crucial to reassess our goals regularly and find motivation, even during challenging phases. As I navigate this journey, I've come to understand the importance of patience and self-acceptance. Many individuals experience similar feelings of frustration when progress stagnates, often leading to thoughts of quitting. However, focusing on health benefits, like improved endurance from my 38 minutes on the treadmill or core strength from my sit-ups, can help shift the perspective from weight alone to overall wellness. Engaging with community support through forums and hashtags can also provide encouragement and advice, making the journey a little less lonely. The reality of weight loss isn't just about numbers; it's about learning to embrace the process and the changes that come along the way. Finding joy in small victories, like completing a tough workout or noticing a tighter fit in clothes, can boost motivation immensely. Remember, everyone's journey is unique, and consistency is key. Additionally, keeping track of workouts like the 4x12 pull-downs and torso rotations has helped me stay focused on improving my strength, adding another layer of accomplishment to this marathon of a journey. So for anyone feeling discouraged on their weight loss journey, remember: slow progress is still progress. Stay committed, and you'll find the results that truly matter.
