Homemade Cherry Vanilla Ice Cream 🍨 😋🥰🍒

🍒🍦 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐓𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞 𝐁𝐮𝐝𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐕𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚 𝐈𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦! 🍦🍒

📋 Ingredients:

• 2 cups heavy cream

• 1 cup whole milk

• 3/4 cup granulated sugar

• 1 vanilla bean (or 2 tsp vanilla extract)

• 1 1/2 cups fresh cherries, pitted and halved

• 1/2 cup cherry juice (optional, for extra flavor)

• Pinch of salt

🥣 Directions:

1. Prepare the Vanilla Base: In a medium saucepan, combine heavy cream, whole milk, and sugar. Split the vanilla bean, scrape out the seeds, and add both seeds and pod to the mixture. Heat over medium heat until it begins to steam, but do not let it boil. Remove from heat and let it steep for 30 minutes. If using vanilla extract, add it after removing the mixture from heat.

2. Pit and Halve Cherries: While the vanilla base is steeping, pit and halve the cherries. If you prefer a smoother texture, lightly mash some of the cherries.

3. Mix in Cherries: Remove the vanilla bean pod from the mixture. Stir in the prepared cherries and optional cherry juice, mixing thoroughly.

4. Chill the Mixture: Cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until completely chilled.

5. Churn the Ice Cream: Pour the chilled mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions, usually about 20-25 minutes.

6. Freeze: Transfer the churned ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
