Things I Wish I Knew Before My ADHD Diagnosis
Before my diagnosis, I thought I had a discipline problem.
Turns out I had a nervous system and brain that processed the world differently, and I spent years trying to force myself into systems that were never built for me.
ADHD is so much more than being distracted.
It can affect emotions, motivation, sensory processing, memory, energy levels, task initiation, self-esteem, and burnout.
A lot of people with ADHD aren’t failing because they don’t care.
They’re exhausted from trying to function in survival mode while blaming themselves for symptoms they didn’t yet understand. ❤️🩹✨🧚🕯️
