Another aspect that helped me was embracing the idea that to advance—to elevate ourselves—we sometimes need to say goodbye to familiar but toxic situations, including jobs or habits that no longer serve us. By doing so, I felt a renewed sense of energy and motivation that fueled my weight loss journey. Prayer, meditation, or reflection can also be powerful tools. When I incorporated daily gratitude and mindfulness practices, I noticed a significant shift in how I carried myself and how I approached challenges. Feeling lighter mentally often translated into feeling lighter physically. If you're ready to enter 2026 feeling lighter in every sense, start by identifying the 'weights' in your life—be they emotional, mental, or physical—and create a plan to address them one step at a time.
