Base 7km Run
My previous run I maintained a pace of 5:00/km for nearly 6km. So I did an easy 7km run this time in preparation to do 7km at the same 5:00/km next time.
Good run today, not too difficult. Late night gym session, got back at almost 11pm.
When training to complete 7km in about 45 minutes, pacing strategy is key. I focused on maintaining a steady pace close to 5:50/km during this easy 7.02km run, which closely aligns with the target pace of roughly 6:25 per km needed for a 45-minute 7km. Using my Garmin watch helped track my distance, average heart rate (around 143 bpm), and pace, providing valuable feedback to adjust future runs. I find late-night gym sessions complement my running by building strength without interfering with recovery.
