A well-rounded workout split can enhance your fitness journey by incorporating both cardiovascular and strength-training elements. My current routine consists of dedicated running days, along with targeted lift training focused on specific muscle groups. On Mondays, I use the Runna app and work on back and biceps; Tuesdays are reserved for abs; Wednesdays include speed and agility along with a full-body lift; Thursdays focus on chest and triceps; and Fridays are leg day! Nutrition plays a crucial role in optimizing performance. A high-protein diet not only aids muscle recovery but also supports overall strength gains. Consider integrating lean meats, plant-based proteins, and dairy into your meals along with plenty of water. Staying hydrated ensures maximum efficiency during workouts and aids recovery. Don't forget to track your daily steps, aiming for at least 10,000 to maintain overall fitness and well-being. This mix of cardio and lifting aims to develop a balanced physique suited for competitive sports like rugby. Embrace the process and adapt your routine based on progress and personal goals.
