It’s incredible how a few fresh ingredients can transform ordinary water into something so refreshing and enjoyable. Plus, it's a fantastic way to cut down on sugary drinks without feeling deprived. Getting Started with Infused Water: The beauty of infused water, sometimes called detox water, is its simplicity. You don't need any fancy equipment, just fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs, plus some good quality water. I usually use large plastic bottles or pitchers so I can make a big batch to last me a day or two. The key is to let the flavors meld in the fridge for a few hours, or even overnight, for the best taste. My Go-To Flavored Water Options to Try: Lemon & Cucumber Slices: This is a classic for a reason! It’s incredibly refreshing and has a clean, crisp taste. I love how the cucumber adds a subtle, cool note while the lemon provides a zesty kick. It feels like a spa drink! This combo is perfect for a warm afternoon. Watermelon & Mint Infused Water: Oh my goodness, if you haven't tried this, you're missing out! The sweetness of the watermelon paired with fresh mint leaves is absolutely divine. It’s naturally sweet, vibrant, and so hydrating. I like to gently muddle the mint a little to release its aromatic oils before adding it to the water with the watermelon cubes. Orange Slices (and a hint of Ginger!): While I often see a bright orange-colored drink in cafes, making it at home with fresh orange slices is even better.
