Creamy Garlic & Spinach White Pizza

~ This crispy, cheesy white pizza is made with a simple homemade dough and creamy garlic parmesan sauce.

— Homemade Pizza Dough —

Ingredients:

• 3 ½ cups bread flour (or all-purpose flour)

• 1 ½ teaspoons salt

• 1 ½ teaspoons sugar

• 1 ½ teaspoons active dry yeast (or instant yeast) (this is ½ packet + ½ teaspoon if using packets)

• 1 ⅓ cups warm water (110°F)

• 1 tablespoon olive oil (or vegetable oil)

Instructions:

1. Activate Yeast: If using active dry yeast, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast in a small bowl. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy. (Skip this step if using instant yeast.)

2. Mix Dough: In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add yeast mixture and olive oil. Stir until a shaggy dough forms.

3. Knead: Transfer to a floured surface. Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

4. Rise: Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 ½ to 2 hours (or until doubled in size).

5. Shape: Punch down dough, let rest for 10 minutes, then stretch into a 12-inch circle, or two medium sized pizzas.

— Creamy Garlic White Sauce —

Ingredients:

• 1 tablespoon unsalted butter (or olive oil)

• 1 teaspoon minced garlic

• ½ cup heavy whipping cream

• ¼ cup grated Parmesan

• ¼ teaspoon salt

• ¼ teaspoon black pepper (optional)

Instructions:

1. Melt butter in a small pan over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.

2. Stir in heavy cream. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.

3. Mix in Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth, then remove from heat.

— Baking the Pizza —

1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

2. Assemble: Place stretched dough on the baking sheet. Spread white sauce evenly, then top with:

- 1 cup shredded mozzarella

- Extra Parmesan (optional)

- Fresh spinach leaves (lightly pressed into the cheese)

3. Bake: Bake for 12–15 minutes or until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
