3 cups Quaker 1- minute oats
Mix melted butter and sugar over medium heat. Add milk. Stir till comes to a full boil. Add vanilla. Boil 1 minute without stirring on medium heat. Take off burner. Add peanut butter and oats. Mix well. Drop spoonfuls onto wax paper and cool. Enjoy!

No bake peanut butter cookies are a fantastic treat to whip up when you're short on time but craving something sweet and satisfying. What I love most about this recipe is how straightforward it is — just a few pantry staples like sugar, butter or margarine, milk, vanilla, peanut butter, and oats. The process involves melting butter and sugar to create a syrup base, then adding milk and vanilla before mixing in the peanut butter and oats. The mixture is then dropped onto wax paper to cool and set, making cleanup a breeze since you don’t have to heat up the oven. One tip I've found useful is using margarine instead of butter if you want a slightly different flavor and a bit more spreadability in the cookies. Blue Bonnet margarine, for example, works well without compromising the taste. Also, switching up the peanut butter brand or opting for natural peanut butter can give a different texture and richness, so feel free to experiment! For those who enjoy a chocolate twist, adding cocoa powder to the mix before you add the milk is a simple way to transform these cookies into chocolate peanut butter delights. The cocoa blends perfectly with peanut butter, creating a balanced flavor that’s indulgent yet not overpowering. These no bake cookies are perfect for a variety of occasions — from quick snacks after school, to easy contributions for potlucks or parties. Because they cool quickly on wax paper, you can prepare them in advance and have treats ready without any fuss. Plus, these cookies store well in an airtight container, staying soft and flavorful for several days. Overall, this recipe brings together classic comfort flavors in an easy, no fuss preparation that's perfect for busy days or anytime the oven is off-limits. Give it a try, and enjoy classic peanut butter goodness in just minutes!
