Homemade Hot Cocoa Mix

(Creamy & Shelf-Stable)

Yields: 2½ cups mix

(8–10 servings)

Ingredients:

* 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

* 1 cup powdered milk (or coconut milk powder)

* 1 cup sugar (white, brown, or mix I use monkfruit)

* ½ tsp salt

* 1 tbsp cornstarch (for thickness — optional)

* 1 tsp vanilla powder (optional)

* ½ tsp cinnamon (optional flavor)

* Sprinkle of nutmeg (optional)

*sprinkle of ginger (optional)

Instructions:

1. Whisk everything together until evenly mixed.

2. Store in a jar or airtight container, lasts 2–3 months in a cool spot.

To Make a Cup:

* Mix 3 heaping tablespoons of cocoa mix with 1 cup hot water or milk.

* Stir well; add a touch of cocoa butter, butter, cream, or coconut oil for café-style richness.

Flavor Ideas :

* Mocha: add 2 tbsp instant coffee to the mix.

* Peppermint: crush mint candies and mix in before serving.
